Notice of Regular Communication

Wednesday

January 11th

7:00 PM

The Lodge will open at 7:00 PM for the transaction of such business as shall regularly come before it, and the anticipated initiation of four new candidates on their way to membership in St. Alban’s No.6.

Those wishing to gather for dinner beforehand are encouraged to meet downstairs at Leo’s Ristorante. Ordering is no-host, off the menu. Friends and family are encouraged to join us. Please arrive by 5:30 in order to assure time for a pleasant meal.

In preparation for our Annual Communication and the ensuing year, the evening will be a step-up night. Everyone who is presumed to be elected or appointed to an office for next year should be present. If for some reason you are not able to do so, a message to Bro. SW, Bob Hopkins, will be appreciated.

Wednesday

January 18th

5:30 PM

The Annual Communication will open at 5:30 PM for the reading of the annual reports, setting dues and salaries, the election of officers, and the conduct of such other business as is customarily done at this time.

At approximately 7:00 pm visitors will be invited to attend the semi-public installation of officers. Following the installation, all are invited to enjoy a special collation.

Greetings Brethren,

As the year 2022 comes to an end, I reflect upon all this lodge has been able to do this year. I am so proud of the members and officers of this lodge. It is inspiring to see how we continue to grow and develop ourselves over and over again. St. Alban’s is one of the smallest lodges in the state, but we have much to be proud of, especially this year. I am honored to be a member and thank my brothers for their support.

Our Annual Holiday party was recently held on the second-floor hall and was a major success this year. Sharing the season together is one, if not the greatest gift of all that we can give to each other. I hope all who were able to attend, enjoyed the dinner and camaraderie that our hall offers. Thank you to all who pitched in and helped clean up afterward as well.

This month we will be opening our January stated communication with a step-up night. The step-up night has been an ongoing tradition at St. Alban’s for quite some time. I look forward to seeing the hard work of everyone who will have the opportunity to sit in their new chair before our annual communication the following week. We will continue the evening with the conferral of the Entered Apprentice degree on four candidates.

In general, thank you all, for all that you do for St. Albans. May the joy of the holiday season continue with you into the New Year. Sending you all peace, love, and joy this Holiday Season.

Fraternally,

Danny S. Cordeiro

From the Secretary’s Desk

I would like to begin by again thanking Wor. Bro. Tim Pray for taking on the duties of the Secretary during this past month.

Notices of membership fees for 2023 will be mailed after the new membership fees are established by the Annual Meeting on January 18th. Your prompt payment will be much appreciated. The lodge depends on early payments for cash flow. If anyone has a problem with a timely payment, please advise the Master or the Secretary. All needs can be accommodated, and this helps the Treasurer and the Secretary.

A current membership card may be required to attend a tiled function at any time. If planning to attend another lodge, the Secretary can provide notice of your good standing while awaiting your card.

Please be sure to let the Secretary or Worshipful Master know as soon as possible of anyone who is ill or in need of assistance. Maybe the assistance is monetary, or a ride to the lodge, whatever the case, we are happy to be of assistance.

Please check your personal information listed in the Grand Lodge database “Grand View” at: https://ri.grandview.systems/users/sign_in. Both Grand Lodge and your lodge rely on this information.

If you have not yet registered to use it or forgot how to enter the database, select: [Didn’t receive unlock instructions?]. This will give you access to your records on file there so you can make any needed corrections or updates. It is important to keep your information current, especially your contact information. Contact the Secretary with any questions.
