Notice of Regular Communication

Wednesday

February 8th

7:00 PM

The Lodge will open at 7:00 PM for the transaction of such business as shall regularly come before it. After opening, a lodge of Entered Apprentice will be opened to welcome the attendance of our newly initiated brethren.

If there is a parking ban in the town of Bristol, the meeting will be postponed or canceled. If postponed, a dispensation will be requested from Grand Lodge for an alternate date.

The Program for the Evening

Brother Rory A. Hanmer, R∴W∴ Associate Grand Chaplain for the East Bay District, will present a review of the Masonic Memorial Service. This refresher may provide new insight for some and will be an introduction for our new Entered Apprentices and others not yet familiar with it.

St. Alban’s Association, Inc. – Following the Lodge Meeting

Immediately following the close of the Stated Communication of St. Alban’s Lodge No. 6, the annual meeting of St. Alban’s Association, Inc. will be held. Reports on the past year’s operations will be received, and members of the Board of Directors will be selected for the ensuing year. All members of St. Alban’s Lodge No.6 are automatically a member of the Association and are urged to attend. All friends associated with the lodge are welcome as visitors.

Greetings Brethren,

Wow, what a wonderful night we had at our installation of officers on January 18th. I would personally like to thank each and every one of the members of this lodge for giving me the honor to serve as its Master and to lead St. Alban’s No. 6 for this upcoming year. I would like to personally thank R∴W∴ Andrew M. Giovannini, R∴W∴ Rory A. Hanmer, and W∴ Andrew C. Daigle for an outstanding opening of our semi-public installation. R∴W∴ Giovannini’s prologue was a memorable one indeed. I’d especially like to thank R∴W∴ District Deputy Grand Master, Eric E. Grist, and W∴ Grand Master of Ceremonies, John W. Kent for an unforgettable installation of officers.

I can’t tell you how special it feels to be in the East. As I said at the Annual, I have big shoes to fill and hope to live up to the standards set by the previous Masters. You are all family to me, and I know that together we can do great things.

I’d like to do more traveling this year, especially to lodges outside our district. For those brothers that don’t have a Passport, you might want to get one. (Masonic passports, in which to record your visits to other lodges, are available at Grand Lodge.) I am looking forward to “traveling over some bridges” this year. I’ve been talking with W∴ Adam Northup, from Hope Lodge #25, about having a joint meeting with them in June. This will allow St. Alban’s members to visit their lodge without missing one of our meetings. This should be a great trip. We will then return the favor after the summer break.

This month’s program will be a review of the Masonic Memorial Service, presented by R∴W∴ Rory A. Hanmer. It is my intention to drop to the Entered Apprentice degree so our newly initiated brothers can join our meetings and get involved.

As always, please remember to reference the calendar on our website for upcoming rehearsals, events, visitations, etc. I hope to learn how to update it, but in the meantime, I’ll rely on our webmaster and Brother Secretary to keep it current and up to date. If you know of any member with sickness or in distress, or if anyone needs a ride to the lodge, please contact me or Brother Secretary / Brother Assistant Secretary for assistance.

Fraternally,

Robert N. Hopkins, Jr.
